A Sunday feast, but make it fancy. The end of the weekend is made for indulging, and this time it’s in the hands of two of Australia’s hatted fine-dining regional chefs. James Viles of Biota Dining in Bowral, NSW, will join Chris Hagan at his French-inspired Long Apron restaurant at Spicers Clovelly Estate in Montville – the duo collaborating on a menu that merges their shared passion for locally grown seasonal produce with the luxury service of their attached boutique properties.

Both chefs have brought a sense of refinement to their homes in the highlands. At his two-hatted restaurant Biota, Viles takes “locavore” to a new level – much of the menu’s ingredients are sourced from the region’s farmers or grown on site. With a similar environmental mindset, Hagan aims to bring a sense of simplicity to his European-style menus at his one-hat restaurant. Using only the freshest in-season produce allows the pure flavours and regionality shine on the plates.

Hosting the afternoon with will be Melissa Leong, one of the country’s most prolific food writers and Australia’s newest MasterChef judge. Graze on the chefs’ native-leaning dishes of the day among the elegance of the Long Apron’s French provincial decor, and stunning views of the Sunshine Coast hinterland in the distance.

General admission tickets tickets on sale 10am AEST Thursday, 19 March with an Early Bird discount of 10% available until 09:59am AEST Thursday 16 April, or until allocation exhausted.

This event is strictly 18+. Entry will not be permitted to guests under 18 years of age. Attendees must carry with them valid photo ID as proof of age and will be required to present this upon entry.
